from a dream to reality...
Jesica (yes, that’s Jesica with one “s”) has had a magical connection & deep passion for music since the womb! Her entire family is very musical. Her mother sings & plays guitar & her father sings, plays harmonica and the drums. Even today, every family gathering is still nostalgically complete with a folksy, fun sing-a-long.
Jesica grew up in Minnesota where since grade school she’s been involved in music, theater & performing arts. After college, she escaped the Minnesota cold by heading to the Caribbean to work onboard cruise ships as an Activities Director and Entertainer. It was there on the high seas at the age of 24 where she found Jesus when the Lord sent her a very special, handpicked Christian roommate on the ship. She was also encouraged to pursue singing more seriously after performing as a back-up vocalist for the legendary entertainer, Ben Vereen.
From there, the Lord led her to take a bite out of The Big Apple in New York City where she lived for 9 years and continued her vocal training with a gifted Broadway teacher and learned how to play the guitar. Though she worked for Newsweek Magazine by day, her true delight was found leading worship at Harvest Christian Fellowship & being involved in leadership with many various ministries & outreaches throughout the city. She also enjoyed being a part of a musical group called “By Grace” in which her fervor for writing Christian music & her passion for sharing the love of Christ truly blossomed. She has had the privilege of performing with or working along side of some amazing Christian leaders such as Greg Laurie of Harvest Crusades, Richie Furray in Hope for NYC, Randy Stonehill, Marty Goetz, Al Denson and many more.
Then in 2005 the Lord spoke clearly and called Jesica to take a leap of faith, sell all she had & drive cross country to California where God had a new, amazing, unknown adventure awaiting in music ministry.
Jesica now lives in Orange County, California and is currently a full time “Musicianary”. She is a Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Speaker and Performer. She is also a Worship Leader for the singles ministries at Mariners Church in Irvine, OC Singles in Costa Mesa, For Such A Day As This Ministries in Huntington Beach, Robinwood Church in Westminster, SALT Church in Laguna Beach and a local Prison Ministry. She enjoys continually being invited to perform as a guest artist at many churches as well as unique venues like The Roxy, local restaurants, weddings, funerals & conferences. People say her songs are rare gems that are stunningly passionate & pierce even the hardest heart. She has also written & performed the title track for the faith-based film “I Am” and all her music is available for digital download on iTunes, Amazon and other internet-based stores.
