Bloodline

When a Father loves a child

You can see it their eyes

There’s a peace that holds a line between them

There’s no other voice they hear

Than the One who holds them near

They know which way to walk and where to turn

This bloodline is forever

When the flood line rises high

This One Line never says never in rescuing their child

A Father holds his child and says

Your name remains in mine

No broken life or broken heart

Can break His love divine

Confusion comes, O child you want to run, grab the line

Hold on tight, O hold on tight to your bloodline

With a mighty outstretched hand

From the One who understands

That two hands become one strand

The only line that’s true

Is the One that’s holding you

It cannot be broken
